I feel that it is important that you have a healthy discussion and express your views to your manager. Since your appraisal is just 2 months due, that would be a good time for you to do that. Document your achievements and the challenges that you have taken in this Appraisal cycle. Fill it in your Appraisal document with facts, appreciations and rewards. Have a open discussion with your manager and express your views. Wait for the results of the appraisal before you take the next step. Meanwhile, update your CV, gather info (job roles, designation, salary & location) about the companies that you feel fit, so that you have done some homework for Plan B.
