I think, you already answered your question in the beginning of your question. Yes, good communication means to convey your message to everyone in simple language.

Good communication can be improved, when you listen & read a lot to different people at different forums.

Sometimes, I have seen people to choose a role model, to become like him/her. It has helped them.

I am having 14+ years of experience in Java based framework. Currently into the MuleSoft integration. I also have good exposure in Apigee.

I am looking for a part time job. I am in India now but flexible with other timezones as well.

Please let me know if you have any positions.

Nicely explained .. Rob..!

Do we also know if Oracle has any platform where developers can suggest/complaint a feature in Java?

I started my career with Jdk 1.3 and it took almost 12 years to get the Java SE 7 (2011) and now in past 3 years, we have 8 releases (Java SE 10 (2018) - Java SE 17 (2021)).

So, Are Java trying to catch up to keep themselves into the race of other language? Or Is it an attempt to ensure that Java is a leader and other will follow like previously?

P.S. - I  am a Java developer and apologies if my question is found irrelevant.

Hi All,

I am having 15 years of experience in Java and especially on Intgeration (Mulesoft and Apigee). Now I am planning to move to Data Engineering field. Earlier I thought to move into Data Science, but now it looks like it would lot of effort and deep learning along with Job.

So, I am thinking to move onto Data Engineering part. I want to change the career considering it as a good market value for next 5 years or so.

Could you please suggest if I am thinking in good direction.

Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I am having 13+ years of experience in Java and Microservices. Now, I am planning to move to Data Science field. I am inerested in Mathematics, Statistics and programming too, so I thought to pursure my career in this area and have a Masters Degree in Data Science/Artificial Intelligence (M. Tech. or M .S. for Working Professional)

But I am little bit reluctant in pursuing this alongwith job (due to complexity and spared time) but unable to think if this would be a fair decision.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Tim for this usefuk information.

I know AWS is one of the oldest amongst others cloud providers. But How about GCP and Azure to start with.

Also for Containerization things, how can I mimic the lab in my stndalone Windows machine?

I am new to Cloud world and I wanted to start enhancing my skills in Cloud Computing from Architect point of view.

I have developed few applications which are in AWS but couldn't get time (or might be interest) to go deep into AWS.

Now, I want to learn about a Cloud environment but getting confused on from where should I start with, provided the fact that I can design a monilithic architecture to some cloud based application and also propose a client accordingly.

I have no prior experience of any cloud. So, please suggest from which cloud I should start with. I saw so many videos and did googling but still confused on which cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure etc.) should I start with?

Thanks Jayesh for nice reply.. !

I am now thinking of "Spring Batch+Spring Scheduler" to help out my current project, to see at what extent I can groom myself.

Many thanks to all who advised me like a good Friend or Teacher .. !

I am done with the Knowledge transfer, now I am getting some random queries from my Team mates.

you can play with something. Have you learned Java 8 yet?

No not yet... ! I will give it a try. But as I said that I have too much idle time in office so it means so many thoughts are coming in my mind like learning few new things like MongoDB, Analytics, Advance Hibernate, Concurrency, Spring +(DI,Batch, Scheduler, etc) and lots of things

The problem originally lies on remain focused.. especially when you have lots of time with lots of stuff to confuse with.

I know , it is quite easy to say that one should utilize his/her time when S/he is on notice period. You are serving Notice Period and don't exactly know that what work would you do in your future job. Sitting idle and just looking at watch to Tick 05:15, does not make any sense.

During this time, one can not go and can't do too much as you are being restricted to do anything.

can any one suggest what should I learn and how to motivate myself to learn something new?

Thanks in Advance.. !

Ulf Dittmer wrote:In which way should the approach be better?

When I say Better approach this means a way by which I can get any API (or something) which can retrieve Object (like list of all Schedule Tasks) and utilize the feature of that Object?

JSP
Hi,

I want to create a Web page which can monitor and display the status of Schedule Tasks setup on different remote machine. This Dashboard should also has the capability to re-run the schedule task.

I know that I can achieve this via Runtime class by running schtasks /Query and get all the details. But I just wanted to know if we have any other better way to do this.

JSP
Thanks Joe..!

It worked for me .. I used the instanceof check against each object which worked for me.

Many Thanks for looking into problem and guiding to resolve.
