Hi christine,
Actually , to tell u the truth i have been looking for a entry level java programmer position in Tampa-Clearwater area for the last two months. I had attended a Job Fair at clearwater. The main reason for my not getting a job was that i did not have an H1. I had talked to nearly 25 companies in this area but i have not attended even a single technical interview. Before that itself they reject saying that they cannot sponsor H1. I was even ready to volunteer work. But it seems companies do not accept volunteer work in software industry . I am not new to the software industry. I have been working as software engineer for 2 years. But because of some unavoidable situations i am currently unemployed. I thought i will let u know my feelings regarding the job hunting experience in Tampa/Clearwater area. Currently i am studying for the Developer Exam.
Bye.

Hi,
Thats reaaaaaaaaaally GREAT!!!
Best of lucks for ur Developer Exam(I don't think u need that).
Sudha.
Hi ,
This site has some java interview question: http://members.home.net/shimonp/Interview/faq_java.html
And by the by i attended the interview yesterday. I would like to share my experience with u. I feel if we go just with the Programmer level knowledge in Java ...it won't fetch much rewards. Because very rarely do we have to work with just that. The advance level java is what that is mainly used in most of the work(My personal opinion and the impression that i got after the interview). We must know Socket, JDBC, Javascript, RMI, Servelets etc..atleast the basic knowledge. In my opinion if we give interview when we have completed 75% of the developer certification preparation ,it would more rewarding.
I shall send the documents to u people.Give me some time.
Bye.

Hi everybody,
I am attending an interview in the evening. I would like someone to help me out since this is my first interview for the post of a entry level java programmer.I would like to know:
1.What type of questions are asked in the interview?
2.I am SCJP.Will they be asking me RMI,Servlets,JSP etc etc.I have not mentioned any of that in my resume.
3.I would appreciate if somebody can send few question...so that i can practice..
i might sound a little crazy but...it has been 2 years since i have been sitting at home (after 3 years of working as software engineer).I am literally very nervous about it.
wish me luck!!!
Thank you in advance..

Hi Everybody ,
I got my Sun certification in Java 2 Programmer level last month.I am at present trying to creat a mock exam ( it is small token of appreciation to other sites which helped me a lot to get my certification).I was very much inspired by various sites dedicated to help people learn Java .So I thought I too should contribute to this.I started with website having tutorials .mock exam etc..I decided to do the mock exam completely in java.I am facing a lot of problems. Can somebody help me pls.
These are the places where I need help :
1.I want to show time...in the sense ..I want it to decrement after every minute.ie.when the exam starts time will be 02:00. Then it should start ticking ie next second it should show 01.59.How should I go about it..
2.Since I am not yet thorough with JDBC, I am actually reading a file(questions, options, answers) and putting everything in a vector and then displaying that one at a time.Is this the right way.Because when I try to do the same thing in a applet it is not working as in applet we cannot read or write file.Is it possible to do this without JDBC.
3.After the mock exam is finished when the finish button is pressed ,I want the marks frame to be displayed. I don't know how to go about it.
Can anyone help me pls.
I don't want to lose hope and stop doing it.
waiting for reply.
