Hi,

Passed SCEA Part1 last year. Submitted Part2 assignment end of June and appeared for Part3 on 30th June.

Got the results today with Grade P and Score 0..

I got the DreamCar assignment and used Star UML to complete the diagrams.

Hello,

I use the following link to check my results..

http://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment.

Is there any other place I can check the results..

That was really quick..

I submitted part 2 on 28th June and part 3 on 30th June.

I am still awaiting the results..
When did you apply for part 2 & part 3 ?

Usually takes 4 -6 weeks from the date you appeared..
Hi Ajay,

Part 2 & 3 are graded together. So you need to appear for both.. And then they would be graded together.

A good option would be to submit part2 assignment and then appear for part 3 exam

Hi,

I am not sure wether the link is obvious on sun site but this PDF looks really helpful while preparing for Part2 & Part3 .. But especially the emphasis is on part 2

http://www.sun.com/training/images/pdf/scea-part-two-2009-bof.pdf

Also the same guy seems to be writing a book about SCEA too..

I hope this helps.

Hello All,

I have submitted my part2 assignment yesterday . Size of the file was 998kb and the website says the max I should upload is 1000KB.. I hope its uploaded properly.. Do the sun guys email any confirmations ?
I only saw a message on the upload screen saying your assignment was uploaded successfully.

I am scheduled to give my part 3 exam tomorrow. The Sun website says 90 minutes but the prometric email says 2 hrs 15 minutes.. How long is the exam and what sort of questions are asked ? As per sun website there will be in all 8 questions.

Any input is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Paren

My question is do I need to provide any design for authentication making many assumptions ? If some one else is working on the same assignment how have they thought about it ?
Hello All,

As part of the assigment there is a requirement which suggests that only authenticated users can use the system and its functionality. But the assignment document does not provide any details about the authentication to be used.

How do I cover as part of my design ? I was thinking of resolving the user by login name from security context when needed.

Any suggestions ranchers ?

Hello Cameron,

Thanks for your reply. I am definitely going to include all the diagrams what has been for asked for in the assignment. I am using StarUML for generating Class, Component,Sequence and Deployment Diagrams.

Also I am pretty confident my solution should would be good enough to pass the exam.

But I wished to include the High Level Application Diagram and screen flows same as what I do in my day to day work.. These diagrams are for any
one to get a good understanding of the system being designed.

Hello Guys,

As part of the SCEA assignment I was planning to create a very high level application context diagram. It shows the external systems and the most important components of the new system to be designed. It also depicts the interaction between various components and systems.

As far as I know this diagarm is not UML compliant . My only intention to have this diagram is to give some more clarity to the examiner.

Should I include this diagram or not ?.

The Assignment deliverables state that "each diagram must be UML compliant"...

Thanks for looking
