Hi! It's great that you are providing these textures, what would be even better is if you could provide them in a lossless format instead of as jpeg. TIF files are best for standard textures, and 32bit TGA are best for textures with transparency, because it saves transparency into an alpha channel.

24bit TGA can be used for standard textures instead of TIF, but TIF is preferred. Game designers use mostly TGA files, and they can convert from TIF to TGA easily themselves. People doing 3d rendering can use the TIF file directly. BMP files have high quality but a large file size that's why TIF is preferred.

Hey there,

I'm limited to certain file sizes by my web hosting company. I suggest that when you download them, immediately save them as TIF (or some other lossless format.) If you happen to need a higher quality version of a certain image, feel free to email me and I'll be happy to send it to you. :-)

In the meantime...

Greetings and Happy Holidays!

I've added a bunch of new images:

On the TXR-PAPER page, some really cool covers from journals. Might work for maps, old books, etc.

Also, if you haven't already noticed, to streamline my site a bit I’ve eliminated the gigantic text block under the header image that showed all the pages on the site. Instead, links to all the pages on the site are on the right side of every page, listed under MUSIC, SOUND FX and IMAGES… (scroll down.) Simply click on the name of any page to navigate to that page. Then scroll down. The links appear at the right side of every page so that you can quickly navigate from any page to any other page on the site.

Hi Eric, I checked your site to see if there was anything about your work process. I was curious how you develop your tiles and sounds.

I was also curious about your libraries' use statistics. Do you know how many download your works?
