Hi all
Can we start another forum called Testing ? This should cover all QA activities , testing automation software quries like winrunner etc.. I guess this will be helpful to those java guys who are working in the QA/Testing teams.
Just a suggestion and interested in seeing others views

Hi all

Looks like this doesn't attract much people ! . I am currently working as QA engineer using Java, C, COM and EJB. I used to program in Mainframe for almost 4 years and then switched over to Java. Passed SCJP after being an active member of JavaRanch in 2000. While coding test programs and dealing with automation software, I realized that this field is really interesting. If this kind of work brings interest in anybody please respond, we could have an open communication channel in this matter.
Regards
ARS Kumar.

A forum on Testing is a possibility, but the usual protocol here is to only create forums which already have a demonstratable amount of messages.
I suggest that you choose an existing forum ("Process" seems about the closest) and start posting questions, answers, hints, resources etc. about testing. We'll keep an eye on the progress of the discussions, and if it seems popular we can create a new forum.
Does that sound reasonable?

Thanks Frank,
What you said is true, after seeing the response from people who do testing or people who like testing ( ), then only an independent forum will make a real presense in the ranch.
So like you said I will browse through the Process forum and try to make Testing an Active topic over there. Hope that catches somebody's attraction.
I heard that there are NOT many people who likes to perform QA/Testing activities. I guess by this way I will be able to
know the fact about this myth
