JOB SUMMARY: Support existing and emerging Supply Chain Planning applications written in DEC Basic, Visual Basic, Visual C and / or Microsoft Access. Serve as a liaison between the business and IS for these applications. The Programmer Analyst is responsible for analyzing and documenting business processes, preparing technical specifications, and coding /implementing systems. Additional responsibilities include: system documentation, implementing approved modifications, developing reports, performing data analysis, and recommending which systems can be integrated with the company's ERP (J.D. Edwards) and Integrated Planning Solutions (i2). Opportunities exist to learn and apply new skills in the areas of i2 planning tools, J.D. Edwards, Web deployment of planning tools and reports, etc...
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: > Design, code, and implement solutions for business requirements > Define, analyze, and document current and future business requirements > Provide business process improvement efforts > Use and promote established application development standards, QA and change control procedures > Ability to work independently with minimal supervision keeping management informed with timely project status > Responsible for testing and quality of work > Ability to work well with all customers: upper management through daily users
