Hi there,

I would like to know what are the tools most popularly used for drawing high level architecture diagrams. The one's I am referring to are one's seen in technology sites like theserverside.com, infoq.com etc etc.
I am not talking about sequence, class, package diagrams. I am looking for something to depict high level architecture which shows complete software system. I am only acquainted with MS Visio

Let me know which are the most frequently used ones.

For the most used ones, I'd have to vote for White Boards and Flip Charts, perhaps followed by napkins.

I favor yellow legal pads .... sometimes Powerpoint when I need colors.
