Has anybody had extensive experience with Visual Age for Java? I have an opportunity to get involved with it, but have never worked with it. Any opinions about it, such as how hard it is to get a thorough understanding of it, how well it seems to work, how many companies seem to want to use it, etc.? Any commentary appreciated... OP
Hi Fred, I am Kiran wokring on EJB using VAJ. i am trying to execute a sample given in VAJ (hello world). when i execute this example it is given output, but throwing an exception "Failure while creating connection java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver" I have even created a DSN for the Data base ( i am using oracle 8i). i did not understand why it is throwing SQL exception when i am executing simple session bean which does not uses any Data Base. I am using Visual Age 3.02 enterprise version and my database is orcale 8i client. can u help me on this. regards, MN Kiran.
Im a little confused you are not using a database but if you were it would be oracle8i ? in any case add the classes12.zip file to your resources in VAJ to do this from your workbench on the menu bar go to window the last item is options click on it it will bring up a dialog click on resources click edit and browse fro the proper file and apply Fred [This message has been edited by Fred Abbot (edited August 02, 2001).]

As i have heard, Visual Age for Java is a little bit slow and IBM changes their technology so often.... I use Borland JBuilder.... ------------------ Muhammad Ashikuzzaman (Fahim) Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform --When you learn something, learn it by heart!
