Lots of overtime, maybe?
Actually, someone who was working with pre-release versions of Java in 1994, and who has worked continuously with it since then, could conceivably have 9 years experience.

Only team members who found Java are eligible for this .Actually this is not the only job which is asking like this.Usually most of consultants whom I am posting my resume ask for 8 years of EJB experience,JSP experience.......How is that possible? If I say it is not possible coz it wasn't released b4 8 years, that is like negative impression for them...& they won't get back to me.Is there any solution for this?
Thanks
Veena

replies should be directed at the job posting, not a discussion thread with each other.

Hello Denise,
Are you included four years undergrad education? Based on H1B Visa status 1 year of college education equivalent to 3 years work experience. The definition concocted by ITTAA in Silicon Valley during the decade of drunken and orgies. If that is the case someone educated from overseas, immigrated to US with 5 years work experience probably could fit the bill.
You also mention only local candidate needed. As I understand in US, someone graduate with bachelor degree is at the bottom of the food chain. How could it equate to 9 years experience?
Could you help me to clarify my enquiry before I would dare to venture to the next step?
Sincerely,
MCao
