Minimum of three (3) continuous years of Java experience. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.
Architecture and Design
Experience architecting and developing highly scalable n-tier commercial web-based applications in both ASP and deployed environments. Experience with Java Servlets and MVC type frameworks such as Freemarker, Velocity or Struts.
Experience writing detailed technical specifications based on business requirements. Practical experience with UML modeling, project management and source code management tools. Practical experience in the use of various OO class patterns a plus.
Experience performing large-scale multi-vendor system integrations. Experience with SAP, JD Edwards and other ERP systems a plus.
Experience with application servers such as Tomcat, Weblogic or WebSphere to include installation, configuration and deployment.
Practical experience with any of the following: J2EE, Web Services, encryption, JDO, OODB, JAXB, JMS. Experience with the Versant OODB is a plus.

Experience managing the software development life cycle from start to finish. Willingness to take responsibility for actions/decisions.

Experience managing a team of software developers. Leadership and team motivation skills a must. Ability to mentor developers on how to efficiently solve difficult problems. Experience defining and enforcing software development processes that result in either improved efficiency or code quality.
Interviewing/hiring and personnel management skills.
Project Management Skills: Capabilities in estimating development time, costing and budgeting. Managing employees to a budget. Estimating cost/delivery time of customer add on work.

Confidence in communicating with customers on both a business and technical level.
Practical experience in any of the following: Supply Chain Management, Contract Management,
Compensation: DOE, Competitive, Equity Available
