I wondered whether anyone on JavaRanch has written a plug-in for Eclipse ?

I once wrote an XML formatter plugin, which sucked real bad (and I couldn't get it to work on both 2.1 and 3.0Msomething anyway)

Just that I came across this ad.


position for a Java/Eclipse developer. You will need to have created/developed (rather than used) Eclipse plug-ins to apply for this position and ideally have some Java, XML and J2EE experience.


Note ideally have some Java,XML and J2EE experiences.

so creation of Eclipse plugins is required but experience with Java and XML is not?
And here's me thinking that Eclipse plugins are written in Java and use XML files for configuration
