We have been using Web Sphere Application Developers Studio for several versions now, most recently we are using 5.1.1 version. We have always used the zip creation plugin for eclipse to create our jar file. Prior to upgrading to v5.1.1 source was only included in created jar file if you checked the box that said "include java output folder"....since upgrading to 5.1.1 if this box is left unchecked an empty jar is created. If it is checked you get a good jar with both source and .class files. I checked and we have the latest version pointed to at the eclipse plug in site

Has anyone else experienced this problem or know if there is a more recent version that the 7/2002 version?

You may want to look at this article because you may no longer need Zip Creation.
