Hi.I have Eclipse 3.0 in my enivronment. I have installed the MDE Metanology UML plugin into plugins directory. The plugin is shown installed when i query the plugin details for eclipse.
But my problem is, i don't see the Windows->Show Perspective->MDE or anything related to MDE.

Can anyone who has used it tell me the usage?

Thanks in advance

Have a nice time.

Hriday,
I haven't used that plugin, but you might want to check to see if it added a view. Sometimes plugins add views rather than full perspectives.

Jeanne

I don't have MDE coming up in the View as well. I installed eclipseUML (com.omondo.uml_1.2.1). I don't see that plugin as well. Someone said that eclipse 3.0 has a problem related to plugin installation. The solution given for that is, deleting the Configuration directory under eclipse and restarting eclipse.

Well i tried that, it doesn't give any success to me.

Anyone got an idea?

I don't have that particular plugin, but I have had Eclipse not recognize
plugins and here is how I solved it, hopefully these instructions will
help you:

Sometimes Eclipse 3.0 disables some features, to enable them, from Eclipse, go to Help->Software Updates->Manage Configuration

Click on the third icon from the left on the toolbar (tooltip should read "Show Disabled Features"

See if any disabled features show up, if they do click on them and select "Enable" from the popup menu.

Restart your workspace.

Yeah, but does being a ninja come with a dental plan? And what about this tiny ad?
