Hello,

I am starting using wsad and ClearCase. It seems ClearCase is somehow
different from cvs in many aspects. Its very easy to sync/checkout/checkin projects on cvs. Maybe its because of ClearCase's terminology that confuses me.

I set up my dev stream and integration stream after connecting to ClearCase, I opened ClearCase explorer, then changed the content of one file. When I try to save, it keeps asking me to create an activity. On wsad, I can just check out a file from dev stream snapshot --> modify it --> then check it in, no activity stuff is asked. What is the difference between using wsad and explorer in this aspect? If I only work on wsad, can activity related stuff ignored?
thanks.
