I would like to know how to add variables and have them show up permanently in the add variable dialog box, currently a few variables show up when I select java->build path->add variable in eclipse 3.0(JRE_SRC, JUNIT etc.). All other variables that I add with one project don't show up whenever I create a new project, i.e I have to go in and select them again. Is there a way I could specify that some jars(classpath variables) should stay in the available variable list everytime I create a new project. I am using eclipse 3.0 on windows XP

Gamb,
No, there isn't a way to change the defaults. What you can do is create an empty project and give it all those variables in the classpath. Then your new project only needs to point to that empty project.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
