Anil,
Can you elaborate on what features of J2EE you need support for? For example, are you doing JSPs, EJBs, MDBs, ....

As for deployment, you are going to need to create an EAR/WAR and deploy it to WebLogic. This isn't something the IDE can handle. Some plugins create the EAR or WAR file. If not, you can use an ant build script.

Yeah developing J2EE (JSPs, EJBs..) but looking for plug-ins like automating deployment process (like creating EAR/WAR and put it in test server).

I know that we can add-in Ant script using Run -> External Tools to build EAR/WAR file. Is there any other alternative.

Thanks.

Hi Anil,

Try Eclipse Lamboz J2EE plugin. You can integrate eclipse with WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat etc.

For deploying your application to WebLogic server or any other server you don't need any plugin, But you need to write an Ant Script to create the WAR/JAR/EAR file and copy that to your servers deployment directory.

You can visit http://www.objectlearn.com for Lamboz.
Note: You need Eclipse EMF before you can use Lamboz.

Hope it helps.

Hi Anil

You got it right. You have to write your Ant script.
