Having spent several days on configuring Eclipse + Lomboz +
Tomcat, but still can't get them work together properly. Sometimes it complains that it cannot open the
JSP editor, while sometimes it argues that some classes cannot be instantiated etc. I think I have done all necessary steps correctly, that is:
1) Extracting Eclipse
2) Extracting EMF runtime to Eclipse
3) Extracting Lomboz to Eclipse
4) Configure parameters for Lomboz
And I have also tried the following combinations:
1) Eclipse 3.0 + EMF 2.0 + Lomboz 3.0 + Tomcat 4.1 + JDK 1.4.2
2) Eclipse 3.1M6 + EMF 2.1 + Lomboz 3.1 + Tomcat 5.5 + JDK 1.5
3) Eclipse 3.1M6 + EMF 2.0 + Lomboz 3.1 + Tomcat 5.5 + JDK 1.5
Also, I am referencing the following web sites to do the configuration:
1)
http://weblogs.asp.net/jdanforth/articles/149111.aspx 2)
http://hyh.mis.dwu.edu.tw/jsp/eclipse.htm 3)
http://www.javaworld.com.tw/jute/post/view?bid=10&id=60505&sty=3&tpg=1&age=0 I don't care whether Lomboz can start/stop Tomcat within Eclipse for me as I am very happy using Sysdeo's Tomcat Plugin, but I just eager to use the JSP editing/code assist features of Lomboz.
Does anyone has a complete step-by-step guide that depicts how to setup Lomboz + Eclipse? Or is there any FREE Eclipse plugin (I mean truely free, not free trial like M7 JSP editor) that possesses JSP editing/code assist function?
Thank you very much.
