Hello,

I am investigating the possibility of building applications using the Netbeans platform as a base. I have scoured the Netbeans website and the book Netbeans - The definitive guide - however I require some information that is a little more basic to get me started. I have downloaded the APIs and source code from Netbeans. I am looking for information to start the process. Should I begin with the Netbeans IDE and build the basic platform? - Then what procedures should I perform to add my own modules to expand the platform. Your information is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Tom
