Since there seems to be a number of postings recently regarding CVS, I thought I'd let everyone know that there's a new Dev/Nightly build of Netbeasn 4.2 (I guess they're calling it 5.0 now.) In it, they have completely changed the Version Control integration (currently the new version only supports CVS, but will eventually support the others.)

The new version is VERY tightly integrated with Projects and is MUCH easier to set up, configure, and use. I spent most of the day Wednesday fighting with Netbeans 4.1 trying to get it set up to talk to my company's CVS machine (which used EXT and SSH connections.) After fighting all day with no success, I ran across some info stating that CVS was changed in the new dev build. I downloaded the new dev build, installed it and had CVS support working inside of 5 minutes!

Anyhow, just thought I'd share with everyone.

Hope this helps.

good to know...horrible CVS integration is why I moved away from Netbeans. Glad to see its finally fixed.
