Classpath settings in Eclipse/MyEclipse

Do i need to set classpath settings in Eclipse/MyEclipse environment in order to use .class files in Servlet and JSP'S ?In my web project, i have a servlet class which is in a package in src folder,and i am calling this class in an html.Servlet name and mappings are all set in WEB-INF/web.xml file,but getting error like:

Internal server Error
and Tomcat server log says:

SEVERE: Allocate exception for servlet displayname
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: userservlets/displayname (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)

Suggestion......

What version of the JDK are you using to "compile" your code and what version is running on the server?
