Java, XML developer required to join an innovative independent software vendor based in Bath, UK. developing proprietary taxonomy and classification software for use in portals and content management systems. We need a high calibre developer with a minimum of 3 years commercial experience in a software development environment. Keen intellect, ability to learn rapidly, energy and initiative are all essential. Skills required: Core Java (including JNI and RMI), J2EE - JSP, Servlets, EJB; HTML/JavaScript, JMS; Struts, XML - XSLT, XPath, XQuery, JAXP; Web services; integration with Application Servers - e.g Apache-Tomcat, OC4J, Websphere, Weblogic. It would be beneficial to have experience of classification, portal and/or content management systems and familiarity with Oracle databases (SQL, PL/SQL). We are offering an excellent package and intellectually challenging work in a relaxed environment + the opportunity to further develop XML, Web Services and Semantic Web skills.
