Semagix, a leading Semantic Web Enterprise company, is looking for a highly motivated junior or senior J2EE engineer who thrives in the fast pace of a small-company environment. Our ideal candidate is a dedicated team worker, diligent coder and fast learner, with a mindset of a product developer who takes pride in the quality of his or her work.
Experience in designing, implementing, and delivering stable, secure, and highly scalable enterprise-type software is a strong plus.
This opening is valid for the Athens, Georgia office only.

-strong Java/J2EE knowledge (incl. EJB)
-experience with connecting to a major database such as Oracle 9i or DB2
-strong XML experience
-very comfortable with Linux or Solaris
-BS or higher in Computer Science or comparable
-Live in or relocate to Athens, GA or no more than 20 miles outside of Athens
Highly Desirable:
-experience with Application Servers, especially WebSphere
-familiarity with OO design patterns
-strong GUI development (JSP, JSTL, Struts, Swing)
-JUnit, UML
-Security (JAAS)
-Experience with metadata, semantics, ontologies
-Good C++ knowledge
