Hello,
I'm using netbeans 3.6, and I want to put my scripts into an External .js file.
What I did was open a text file called external.js, put the scripts in here, then inside the html page...

But I keep getting an error, when I include src="external.js".
Netbeans doesn't have the option to use a .js file, so I just used a text file.
Is this right??
Thanks for any help

OK, I copied the external.js contents into a notepad file and saved that into my web application in netbeans 3.6, and it now works.

But is that the official way to use external scripts in netbeans 3.6??

Since this is all about netbeans, I'm moving it to the IDEs forum.
