Description:
Mitchell an opening for a Senior Software Engineer that will be part of a mission-critical group designing and developing Host Processing software. These individuals will be participating in, and may lead all phases of the software development process including requirements analysis, specification generation, application design and software coding. They will utilize software tools to design and implement software applications and be required to document all work using the Mitchell development documentation standards. They may lead design strategy sessions within the team and with the Technology Architecture team as necessary. They individual will mentor junior engineers, assist the manager in planning and technical direction for projects, provide input to strategic software architectural decisions, and provide manager with periodic status and other reports. They may also lead other developers on customer projects, create schedules, distribute work, check progress, and assist with problems.
Requirements:
�BS in Computer Science or related discipline.
�Minimum 5+ years experience in full life cycle C++ software development, with 4 recent years on Unix environment.
�Experience with Unix STL, make, vi, Unix debuggers, daemons, and/or cron tab.
�1-2 years Java/J2EE experience desired.
�3+ years experience developing enterprise-level, mission-critical, back-end business systems that must run 24/7.
�5+ years full software development lifecycle (requirements and requirements discovery, analysis, design, documentation, coding, testing, reviews, support).
�2+ years UML desired.
�Solid knowledge and experience with Object-oriented design, relational databases, and design methodologies.
�Able to work in team environment, producing and assisting with the development of quality documentation and code.
�Able to develop solutions for change requests to existing production systems.
�Possesses excellent analysis, design, writing, communication & organizational skills.
�Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any company without sponsorship.
