Hi!

I constantly find it big pain searching through the java API documention for something.
I thought a program with a nice GUI, search function and some other gimmicks as a frontend to the documentation would be a cool thing.

Does anyone know a program like that?

Manfredo,
What would the "JavaDoc explorer" automate? For most things, you know the class/package and can drill down in the web based API. For other things, you can use a search engine (like Google) and filter by java.sun.com.

If you give some examples of what the "JavaDoc explorer" would do, we can give more specific help.

I usually just browse API source within the IDE as I write code that uses it.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
