We are seeking a Project Engineer to be responsible for the engineering portion of an entire Professional software project using
Java and OO from design and implementation through
test and release. Develop enhancements to current systems and products. Plan, design, and develop new desktop software applications for the next generation of Dolby Professional products for film, broadcast, and digital cinema.
This position is on the Cinema Software team in Dolby�s Professional Division. Dolby is the industry leader in providing hardware/software embedded systems to the motion picture, broadcast, recording, and DVD markets. The individual selected will work on development of GUI applications using Java Swing technology on MS Windows and Linux. These applications are critical to the setup and management of Dolby�s cinema systems for existing film and emerging digital cinema markets. The candidate hired will have an immediate impact on projects in development and should expect to take a technical leadership role immediately. This position demands a candidate capable of doing quality work against technical and schedule challenges, following strong software design and process principles, working in a central role, interfacing with product management, and coordinating the efforts of other software engineers.
�Bachelor�s or Master�s degree in engineering or science plus 5 years of relevant professional experience.
