How can I change the encoding of Eclipse console.I am printing a string in my console and printing the running the same program from eclipse gives me different strings.I suspect that eclipse doesnot take the encoding from the OS.So how can I change the encoding from eclipse.

Rahul,
Choose Run... and select the program you are trying to run. Then click the "common" tab where you will find a radio button for console encoding. Click other and then select your encoding from the drop down. Note that you need Eclispe 3.1 or later to do this.

I don't know if there is a global place to said that. If there is, it would be somewhere in the workspace preferences.
