Hi,

Welcome to JavaRanch!

It's neither trivial nor especially difficult -- it just takes a certain amount of work. Any book on Eclipse programming tells you how to do it, or you can work directly from the Eclipse on-line help. Here is the relevant page.

I'm moving this to our "IDEs, Version Control, and Other Tools" forum for followup.

If the issue is more the syntax highlighting than the Eclipse plugin, have a look at the jhighlight library. It's what we use in the FAQ pages of our wiki - check out the bottom half of this page for a glimpse of what it can do. The library is not difficult to get started with, and it's also not hard to add more languages than it currently supports.
