Universal Software is currently recruiting for a QA Engineer to work at one of our client sites in Framingham, MA.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and fast paced Quality Assurance Organization. The candidate must be self motivated and will be part of a team developing custom applications based on the client's core products. Responsible for designing and implemeting testing solutions as well as executing tests, capturing results and filing defect reports. The tests will check the software for adherence to specification, reliablity, consistemcy and ease of use.

Must have experience in application testing, test case design and automation, self motivated and has the ability to take on multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of automation tools is desirable. Possess an understanding of database software and display excellent verbal and written communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS
*3 years of software QA testing experience
*Strong knowledge of UNIX
*Ability to deploy, building applications on WebLogic and/or WebSphere 5.x
*Experience with J2EE Applications
*Experience in testing Oracle or SQL or DB2 apps.
*B.S.C.S degree
*Structured programming and/or test automation experience, and an understanding of test methodology.
*Must be self motivated and ability to work in a team environment.
*Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Duration 6 months
Start Date: ASAP
