Intellij idea is simply the best IDE out there, so I would love see what Jetbrains could do for other languages like c#, c++, c, ruby etc... I know you have made the resharper add-in, but did you ever consider doing your own IDE for something else than Java? .. I�m not so fortunate to be able to work with Java at work and I miss Intellij

Hello Simon,

Right now we don't have any plans to release a standalone IDE for a language other than Java or C#/VB.NET, but we're working on a number of plugins which add support for additional languages to IntelliJ IDEA. In particular, the Ruby plugin is currently in active development: http://www.jetbrains.net/confluence/display/RUBYDEV/Home
