An Eclipse-loving colleague is suggesting CruiseControl as an alternative to TeamCity.

How do you think the two stack up against each other?

From a bit of investigation I think TeamCity scores with the Build Grid concept whereas it seems CruiseControl runs on a dedicated machine.

By the way, does TeamCity plan to integrate with lava lamps?

Oops, I missed that one when I was on your site.

We had our product go live on a new customer site this week, so I didn't spend as much time on research as I should have.

Sorry for wasting your time.

Regards
Chris

As far as I know, CC is able to do distributed builds, although I don't know how well it is supported.

Another features that's missing in the feature matrix is that CC is open source - and the code is actually good enough that it isn't too hard to write your own extensions.
