Kuldeep,
Welcome to JavaRanch!

Neither is "better" than the other. It's mainly a matter of personal preference. Many people have developed Struts applications in Eclipse. If you post the specific problem you encountered, someone might be able to provide more concrete help.

Hi guys,

StrutsIDE 2.0.4
https://sourceforge.jp/projects/amateras/files/
I tried to use the above Plugin for Eclipse. what i understood is it supports Struts version 1.2.x and at the same time it supports JSP version1.4
What we need is an Plugin which supports Struts version 1.3.x and JSP version 2.0. Or if i can work on Eclipse Without any plugin for struts framework.

At the same time when Iam using the above mention Plugin in Eclipse i am getting errors in the Eclipse that the ".xml" files cannot be validated as there is a connection problem . There is also a problem with the development artifact(directory structure) when we are trying to convert the web application directory structure to support the struts features. we are getting two "web-inf folders and one of them is holding the .xml files and the other is holding tld files. and both the web-inf are having web.xml files. I couldn,t understand which web.xml file to use.I am not able to deploy even a single sample web application on the eclipse using this plugin.

Could you please suggest me any better plugin which is free and which supports the above mentioned versions of struts and JSP for EclipseIDE.

Or can you suggest which IDE you think is better.I understand that it depends upon individuals prespective but i need specific solution

Regards,
