Position:Senior Java Technical Architect
Location:Houston, Texas (Houston only candidates)

Company in the Houston area is searching for a Senior Java Technical Architect with EJB/J2EE experience. Searching for the following skills:

�10+ years experience in developing in an n-tier development environment involving all architectural disciplines.
�5+ years experience in Java, EJB, and J2EE server side development.
�3+ years experience in BEA Weblogic Java-centric web development
�Must have experience leading at least two major open systems architecture projects in a management, requirements gathering, design and deployment capacity.
�Must have a good understanding of distributed relational database architecture with incumbent logical and physical modeling techniques.
�Good understanding of and effectively describe and deploy framework, layer, component architectures and component evaluation disciplines.
�Prefer someone with RUP experience and/or someone who is an Expert with multiple systems development methodologies.
�Experienced developing a web portal.
�Development skills in .Net framework and middleware technologies.
�Database skills in SQL Server 2000 � must be able to create and modify tables, views, stored procedures and triggers.
�Operating systems: Windows NT/98/2000/XP.
�Other skills: JBuilder, J2EE, JMS, SOAP, T-SQL, ASP, VB, VBA, HTML, VB Script, JavaScript, XML/XSL, JProbe, JUnit, Log4j, RUP, Mercury Interactive, Borland suites, SQL Server Query Analyzer, Visual Studio.Net, and Visual SourceSafe.
�Skills in design, integration, coding, quality, testing, deployment, risk determination, migration, project management, mentoring, presentations, business analysis, white papers, and cost estimations.
�College degree in Computer Science and/or related experience.
�Must have excellent communication skills with internal/external customers, different business units and upper management.
