G1440 is searching for strong Java and C++ Software Engineers who are interested in obtaining a security clearance. If you are a strong fit for these positions, we will process you for a Secret level clearance while you continue to work at your current job (or come join us now and work on commercial projects until your clearance comes through). Once your clearance has been completed, you can choose to work for our client as an employee or a consultant. Our client is a large, stable, billion-dollar company searching for strong Java and C++ Software Engineers for its Baltimore-based defense electronics business. Once you are on board with them, they will process you to the Top Secret level (TS/SCI).

Our client has a continuing need for Java and C++ Software Engineers to support a product line that provides C4ISRT functionality to the armed services. The product architecture includes a network of Unix workstations with some PC's running Windows NT, VME chassis, and Unix Servers. The software is written in Java, C++, and Sybase, with software architectures such as J2EE/Web Services being used. Software Engineer and Software Lead positions are available on at least four different teams. This is a challenging environment where individuals are able to learn and grow, and promotion from within is the standard.

Required: MUST BE a US citizen with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field ABSOLUTELY required. Strong object-oriented software development experience with Java or C++ is required. Experience with large scale distributed systems, high performance computing, the integration of COTS/GOTS software, and/or good working knowledge of Unix are required.

Preferred: Active Secret clearance, active SCI, or a Secret clearance or SCI that has been active in the last 2 years would be a strong plus. Experience with any of the following is a strong plus: UAV, sensor control, mission planning, ASAR, SYERS, Global Hawk, exploitation, national imagery, remote view, NIMA, IESS, RMS, Ruler, RMAP, SAR, GCCS, Vitec-ELT, Raindrop, MET, IPL, DE, IMINT, SIGINT, Gale-Lite, Mako, Predator, Sybase, ClearCase, J2EE, Web Services, CORBA, SOAP, OOD, peer-to-peer architectures, Berkley database, multithreaded processing. C4ISRT experience a plus. High GPA or a Master's degree is a plus.
