Greetings Ranchmates!

Is there any relevance if I will be running NetBeans in Solaris? Or dramatic improvements compare if it is running in other OS, I in terms of performance, preferences, compatibility, supports, IDE/OS issues, etc

Thanks in advanced!

Cheers!

I believe there shouldn't be any issue since NetBeans is created by Sun Microsystems and Solaris is also created by Sun Microsystems

I've tried installing NetBeans in Solaris and no issue so far. I can say it's quite stable.

NetBeans is basically Java software. Hence, it should run and appear same on all the supported platforms.

You should get the Solaris Express Developer Edition.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
