Technical Team Leader
Your role:
�You will form the nucleus of the India engineering team. Partnering with the US-based product development director to ensure that the India team is fully integrated with their US-based colleagues.
oInterviewing, recruiting, and training the rest of the team.
oEstablishing and evolving the development, build,
test, and integration tools and processes to enable the India team to work as a seamless extension to the US team
oDriving projects from design, implementation, delivery, and maintenance.
�You will provide technical leadership to the team
oCreating and reviewing designs and specifications
oMentoring developers and providing technical guidance
oEnsuring quality via comprehensive automated unit tests
oLeading design and code reviews
oDoing hands-on development
�You will provide on-site project management
oWorking with developers to create and maintain project plans and schedules
oCommunicating and coordinating with developers, testers, technical writers, technical support engineers, and product managers in India and the US.
Your profile:
�Work experience
o10 years of software product development
o5 years working at a software products company delivering and supporting enterprise-class products across at least two major releases.
o3 years leading development teams of 5-10 people
oDeep product development expertise in
Java and distributed systems. Experience in a few of the following: XML, Web Services, .Net, web-based applications, network system management.
oAt least 1 year developing products with a US-based software company is very desirable. Experience working in the US is also a plus.
�Work style
oVery technical and hands-on.
oHistory of job stability
oPassionate about building and supporting enterprise-class products for customers
oCommitment to rigorous software development processes. Practical experience adapting development, release, and support methodologies to incorporate a distributed team a huge plus.
�Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science from a top university.
