Several teams are submitting prototypes for review by a certain date. These will be viewed on their own servers. So I am looking for a utility that will prove that the prototype has not been changed since the deadline date. thanks.

Some IDEs will keep track of alterations. I think most people who track versions use things like CVS or Subversion.

Ask somebody to move your thread to the IDEs forum, where that sort of thing is discussed frequently.

If the files are stored on servers under the control of participants, and you want to ensure that they do not cheat, ask the teams to send you a checksum of their executable, using a particular reliable tool. You can even specify the tool that should be used.
