How does MyEclipse compare with Netbeans IDE.

I was told that Netbeans IDE out-of-box has all the features of myEclipse.
One impressive feature is netbeans IDE will make a ANT build.xml based on your project. Can you talk more on this.

Appreciate if you could detail the features of Maven that are available through MyEclipse, like importing an existing Maven Project, what are the limitation right now with Maven built in plug in?

I found that the BIRT reporting tool is a powerful feature. We are planning to use it for one of our projects. We are stuck with questions like ....
1) Will the reporting tool capable of generating a DTO to transfer to a domain model object?
2) How flexible it is when compared to JExcel or POI for generating Excel spread sheet?

Thanks in advance to you Riyad Kalla.

Puthriah (? or Srinivasa?), for you also, note what Jeanne wrote: Posts in this welcome thread are not eligible for the drawing.

Please post questions in a new, separate topic, instead of as a reply to this announcement post. You won't be eligible to win the book if you post your question here.

It's also hard to follow the answers. This thread is for welcoming Riyad and I would recommend that Riyad focus on questions posted in other threads.

Is this a competition for a book or for a copy of the software? It it's for a book, could you provide a link?

Thanks.

It's software. The initial post in this thread doesn't have references to a book. (Except for the link to the "Book Promo Page" because we mostly do books. Jesper's comment was probably from a template somewhere for when there was a book promo...
