Unified Development Inc. has an opening for a Java/J2EE Software Developer for a multi-phase software development effort. The candidate will lead a team of
Java developers to implement the application to the defined business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Participate, as required, in application design activities
Interpret software design specifications and OOD models for application modules, and translate them into Java source code
Assist the Project Manager is work break-down and development assignment
Develop and
unit test application modules
Integrate application modules with other modules and external systems
Assist the Project Manager in tracking of development tasks
Assist and mentor the development team in Java/J2EE development and best practices
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field of study
5+ years development experience with Java
3+ years experience with
J2EE, including
JSP,
Servlets and EJBs
Experience leading development teams
Experience with XML and
Struts (or other MVC frameworks)
Experience with relational databases (Oracle, DB2 UDB)
Experience with Object-oriented design,
patterns and UML
Experience with J2EE application servers (IBM WebSphere, BEA WebLogic, etc.)
Experience applying the above technologies to the development of n-tier, web-based applications.
Detail-oriented individual with solid verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with the Unified Process (or other similar methodology)
Experience with Web Services, and Hibernate a plus
