Using ANT utility for tomcat

Hi
I am using tomcat5 on windows 2000. and i want to use ANT 1.6.2 for stopping and then restarting tomcat again. For this it makes use of build.xml file. can anybody tell me the whole procedure how to make build.xml file and where to place ant alongwith build.xml file.

You could start with the Ant Manual.

From the table of contents see "Installing Ant" and the "Using Ant". Come back with questions where necessary.
