I have a war that I'm installing at webapps/ROOT (with ant)and when I do so, it blows away directories holding uploaded content (images, document, spreadsheets). Anyone have a good scheme for managing uploaded content when deploying a new version of the application?

Thanks,

Jimbus

Can you show the task you use to deploy your web-app, plus explain where you keep this uploaded content?

I keep uploaded content outside of the scope of the web app. An access servlet is used to serve any such content as necessary.

I was considering that and I can't quite remember why I didn't like that idea when I was setting this up... they were actually configured in a separate context in an earlier version, now I'll have to re-edit all my files again .
