Hi,

I am new to SVN....i have to use Ant to perform check out,check in and set revision number's for files in svn repository..my problem is that i am using the below task to upload a new file into a repository

<import path="D:/SVN" url="${svn.url}" message="copying new files"/>

..where 'D:/SVN' is a working copy..but it shows error like cannot use 'import'

Below is the svn task i am using Note that there is no problem with the url or login credentials)

<svn username="xyz" password="xyz">

<import path="D:/SVN" url="${svn.url}" message="copying new files" recurse="false"/>

</svn>

..Any help would be appreciated...

More Over, is there any way to check out a single file from a repository(by specifying the entire file path and name), version(revision number) it manually(after editing) and commit it...

--kindly help me if anyone know these stuff....

svn ant tasks doc is of no help.....

I believe that to use 'import', none of the files (or directories) in d:/svn can already be in subversion. If some of the files in d:\svn are already in subversion, then you need something like:

import path="d:/svn/path/to/the/file.txt" url="${svn.url}/path/to/the/file.txt"

If that does not solve your problem, run Ant withe the -v option and post the console output for the svn task.
