Dear Ranchers,
If you are not a registered user, please register today!. Registration is free, it only takes a couple of minutes and it helps to run this site better.
Please try to use your real name, or atleast a MEANINGFUL alias if you wish to maintain anonymity, when you register. Meaningful as in if I wanted to be anonymous, instead of using "Matt Midcap", I might use "Matt Brown". You get the picture. Please use a first and last name regardless. It's much more friendly and approachable to our newer members who would like to ask your expertise!
This is a technical discussion board, and we should maintain a level of professionalism.
Names like - "Anonymous", "Java Daemon" , "SCJP_99" , "Java Ghost" , "javahacks", "Ginie outside the bottle" , "Geek", "Java Centric", "Newbie", "Puppy" hardly looks professional, friendly and approachable. This is not a chat room and all of us are obligated to maintain the etiquette this forum demands. JavaRanch really encourages the participants to use real names rather than fictitious aliases which look very unprofessional and amateur. If your account currently does not follow this guideline, please create a new account that does.
Also please give your contact e-mail address when you register so that the moderators can contact you if need be. Read what the sensei has to say... And yes, your e-main can be protected at time of registration, read the directions. JavaRanch does not sell or exploit your e-mail in any way. Your privacy here is guaranteed!
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
