sometimes when a java application starts up, it's windows
come up really missized (too tiny, skinny and tall, or
maximized) on the screen.
the most recent ffj does this to me when i choose help
(that is, the help window is super-skinny but too long
to fit on the screen).
jedit3.0.2 does it when you start up the program
(sometimes it starts up tiny, skinny and tall, or full screen---
seems random)
does anyone know if there are windowing issues with jdk1.3 and
the kde2.0?

hmm.. same thing happens with gnome and the other, more generic
one that i can't recall at the moment.
tried changing various window properties like
'don't show contents while dragging or resizing'
but no good.
i'm guessing that this must be a very well known problem
among the java/linux people here (and elsewhere) and we've
just got to deal with it and wait for the next jre version.
