file Access

I am new to linux.In my system i have installed both win98 & linux 6.2 .can i access a file in c:\ from linux?.

login as root
cd /mnt
mkdir dos1
mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/dos1

Now all ur files in c: r present in /mnt/dos1

In Mandrake the dos directory is named something like DOS_hda1. The number (1) in the end changes with the partition so it could be 2 or 3 or 4. hda means the first disk, if you have one more disk it would be hdc. So the command will be modified like DOS_hdc2
