My linux box is RH7.1, root is default to start using KDE. I had a power outage recently and so my disk is corrupted and I encountered the 'Run fsck Manually' message. And so after some searching on the web I tried running 'e2fsck -f /dev/hdaX' to the affected partition. All is well I thought but after I boot up, when I tried to login using root it does nothing, no error message, no nothing, it just wouldn't start KDE for some reason. I tried using Gnome with success, but I don't want to use gnome I want KDE. Please help!
Thanks in advance.
