finally i solved the problem that i was having with pcmcia card .
now another silly problem . I can not find my way thru red hat 7.1 to set up my internet connection
I use cable modem and on my Windows 2000 pro machine
all i ve done was:
1...to give a specific name to my machine ( which i got from my isp )
2...check member of workgroup and use the name of @home
3..on my network properties @ tcp/ip use specific dns numbers dynamic ip # s
4.. enable lmhost lookups
5...use netbios from dchp
6-- register this connections addresses in dchp
7--appnd parent suffixes of primary DNS suffixes
( step 4 thru 7 are defaults)
now how am i going to translate this settings to Red Hat ?
is there Anybody out there using comcast (cable ) and Linux together...
help SOS help
