I am in the process of downloading this interesting piece of software. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me thier honest opinion of the product.
Mainly, I want to use it for the gcc compiler. So I would like to hear comments on that as well as other aspect of the product.
Thanks

It's very handy if what you really need is to develop and run Unix/Linux applications on Windows. One downside can be that you never really get to see or use the native Windows system, so for GUI application programming it's not an appropriate choice. Another problem is that if you want to share the development work, all the developers will need to install, set up and use the Cygwin tools - which they may not be keen on doing.
