Hello, all. Would anyone know how to edit the SuSE configuration file using a text editor. What happen was this. I went into the SuSE configuration file and changed a directory name that I though would allow me to use the current JDK. But when I rebooted I'm getting a directory not found error. The weird thing is it cancels all command access etc..What I need to do is get to the appropriate directories and manually change it back. Would anyone know what methods I could use to correct this.
Dead in the water,

Donald -
I only do RH stuff these days, so could not tell you anything about Suse.
But of course, when one is one's own SA ... well it is quite easy to shoot yourself in the foot!
Regards, Guy
P.S. Congratulations on fixing your own problem.
